Future Events

The Fall is looking busy.

We will be part of Santa Fe's 400th celebration. We'll be spinning and weaving at the Legacy Arts tent at Ft. Marcy Park on September 5th and 6th, along with all kinds of visual artists, performing arts, food, and kids activities. We'll be staying Saturday night for the Ozomatli concert too.

We're also participating in an exhibit at the Santa Fe Convention Center called "Hard/Soft - Works in Clay and Fiber from New Mexico Studio Tours". The exhibit will run from September 18th through December 24th of 2009, with an opening reception on Friday, Septermber 18th from 5-7 pm.

Irvin's work will be featured as part of "A Century of Masters: The NEA National Heritage Fellows of New Mexico". This will be an exhibit of the work of the artists from our state who have been awarded the National Heritage Fellowship by the National Endowment for the Arts. The museum has borrowed several pieces from important collections, including the Smithsonian, as well as current work from Irvin. The show will be at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe beginning on September 26, 2009.

Irvin has been invited to speak in conjunction with an exhibit of Rio Grande Textiles at the University Museum at New Mexico State University on November 9, 2009. The presentation is titled: Rio Grande Weaving: History and Transition.
